can you put shoes on a duck like you can for a chick that has curled toes??
Hi Amiga! Did u see the 2 links i included? The feet look really badSome have done that.
B vitamins can also help - it depends on the reason for the curled toes. But many leg issues can be affected by B vitamin deficiency and helped by supplementing.
Because you asked!
I got a dozen mutt eggs and 11 of 12 hatched out. The first hatched Thursday evening around 11:30 p.m. Three more hatched overnight. Another hatched in the morning while I let the big girls outta the coop, and the other six hatched throughout the day. They're now in the brooder and are painfully cute. My girls (human daughters) have been oohing and aahhhing all day.
I used a borrowed LG still air and bought an egg turner to make life easier. Kept it at 99-100 on my digital thermo and 101-102 on the (non-digital). Humidity first couple weeks was 45 or so, then let it drift down to 35 until late on day 18, when I amped up the humidity to 63-65%.
And I am still in shock that it worked so well and so...easily...
Thanks all for your help! If you scan through this thread long enough, you'll see how uninformed I was prior to this. Your help has been irreplaceable!
Thanks a million,
Daniel
Whenever you can! it wasn't for me it was on the emergency threadNo, I did not... I will look more closely when I can. Do you have a sling? I would make one. Be sure there is an openng for poop in the rear. And B vitamins, and maybe shoes.... Got my hands full right now, I need to check back later![]()
