BCM and the chicks are Altsterier. Since I don't have a BCM rooster anymore and she wanted to set I gave her the other eggs. They are the ones I want to end up with. At least that's the plan long term.
She's a little rough with them I'm hoping all will work out.

Same here, I don't have a chocolate rooster, so I gave her OEGBs that I want. But I do have shipped eggs in the bator and gave my other chocolate 4 of them, so I'll probably have an abundance of roosters in 2 weeks!

I just spent 15 minutes typing out a post. I decided to delete it because I figured out what to do while I was typing. Apparently, talking to myself helps!
I will say that I just found out about an hour ago that the new pullets are being mated.

No, the mutts. The SPRs are too young. Though my SPR breeding was what I had been posting about earlier. I decided that my jabber was too long, and too confusing!

My Orpington's were not laying well and rooster took a year to be fertile so they are on their way out. I'm afraid the folks I got them from were breeding for show not production.

The Altsterier are doing well so far although the eggs are smaller.
