So, now I need to band the black pullet that is laying green eggs for me, and I think I might band the other green layer. She has turned more brown, but I would hate for her to turn back to black after her next molt, and get mixed up with the other black. Banti and Christopher need bands too.

After a bath, the assisted chick is perking up. There is still some membrane left, but she was getting cold so I put her back in.

Morning! Ummm any ideas how to help quail eggs set up in a chicken egg carton besides paper towels? Have a week to go and want to get ready for turning off the turner.
Also sounds like more JG eggs coming.Yes I know I am determined.

I took some thin foam, cut about a quarter of an inch strips, taped into a ring and sat around bantam eggs. Could work for quail if you get the right thickness?
