I am having a hard time saying no and I pay, plus I stopped my pill and shouldnt have. I hate taking so much crap!!! lesson learned on that one. Let the gut heal, I was just saying how I really want some hot buffalo dip n chips right now!!!! ughhhhh Instead of hot wings and tacos I have to order burgers or ranch wings.... I love mexican and itailian, to be honest, I have not had gumbo in my life!!! I would love to head south and try all those foods!!!
what is the difference between a gumbo and jambalaya? I really should get out in the world at some point, if only for good eats!!
Hey Cynth you following What to do?? - Twin egg hatch
Gumbo is like a thick soup and is usually on menus as a soup.
Jambalaya is on the order of paella. (you would have to be familiar with Spanish cuisine) It is vegetables, rice and fish/meat. The meat is usually andouille sausage.
Etouffee is a main course with shellfish in a thick spicy sauce and often over rice.
Most things Cajun, though they are spicy, aren't about the heat like some other ethnic/regional cuisines.
You need a long culinary excursion to New Orleans. I've been there at least 10 times and it's always about the food. Luckily we have a few good Cajun and Creole restaurants in our area. Also, everyone in our family except my daughter can all cook Nawlins cuisine.
We probably have the best Italian restaurants outside of Chicago and Italy. Too many good Mexican restaurants to try them all. About 5 good ones within three miles.
There's a street in South St. Louis that's Mexican and Central American restaurants and groceries for about 10 blocks.
