I just did something I never should have done; I checked tomorrow's forecast. Heat index going to be worse than today...111* Gee, I can barely contain my enthusiasm.

I guess we've had hotter summers here; I just can't remember them (or don't want to)

I don't check the forecast in the summer; too depressing. LOL

what is a heat index and what does it mean?

You have the actual temp, then you have the heat index...how much it feels like with the humidity factored in....the higher the RH, the warmer it feels. Same principal as the windchill temp in the winter.
