Guess I need to get the tools and just work a bit and see what happens. My helper got me scared. My neighbor has someone hired to trim hooves because her hands can't take it, so I thought about having her come to mine too.

How's the flooding there?

I hope ChickenHawk and his birds are doing OK. Some areas have had over 30" of rain and more coming.
We're going to have 3 days of rain with some flash flooding.

It's all stayed south and east of me, personally. Yesterday was soaking wet and we had a 6 pm curfew but today there's not even standing water in the yard. It's dire for folks in the Baton Rouge area this time. At least one member in the LA thread checked in that they evacuated but had to leave their flock. We had family friends in BR that had to evacuate by boat even though they've never had water close to their house in 25 years.

I haven't heard from CH, which is concerning because he is in a bad place. I wish we had had the foresight to open up the camp as a shelter. We could've helped house several families and pets.

I am SO spelling ocd.

It was worthy, otherwise we'd be putting down seed in the pasture a second time.

Send me some! The last drop of rain was on may....

I wish we could. I haven't checked the rain gauge today but in the last 4 days we have gotten 1 3/4 " and I haven't been able to cut grass. Add to that, when I tried to move the mower, the drive belt came off and it is out back in the weeds. I have to get help to push it up to the drive so I can work on it.
