Hi. I don't know ducks but if it was my chick I'd leave it in the incubator. Give it over night.

Yeh I came to the conclusion that that would be the best way to approach it, don't want to put to in with the others and have them peck at it and it bleed. Hopefully it will have dried up overnight or something. Thank you for your help ^_^

@Gge23

How many ducklings did you get then?  CONGRATS too!!

Hey I got 5 out of 6! They were all developed and doing well, but one them just stopped moving after a while and hasn't pipped, going to check it tomorrow when I take the other duckling out and see if it has pipped internally, if not then I am guessing it may be a none starter. I had four blue eggs and two white eggs, the blue ones hatched first, and now one of the white ones has hatched, the one I am a bit concerned about, so I thought because it was bigger it may take a little longer. Now I am just thinking it may have just died unfortunately :/ the other four are absolutely adorable though, and very strong and healthy ^_^

So I first heard the little chick chirp for the first time about 24 hours ago. Only heard it once today, and no more movement. I can't tell if it has pipped internally yet or not. Should I be worried?
fill me back in, sorry I am not remembering much as usual..... how many eggs in bator? how many pipped how many hatched? what is humidity? what day did the pip or hatch?

And this guy I was growing to eat but he's too nice! Any kid can pick him up and tote him around and he just sleeps in their arms. AND LOOK AT HIS EYES.

So those will be my camp roos. I'm keeping three hona roos, but honas don't count in the 16 count. Right now I've got 6 in the meat pen, only 3 are big enough to eat (sold one). And I've sold 7 this week, and two guineas, so that's progress.
