Color? No idea, EE genetics are funny & from what I've read they don't pass down a set color to offspring.

Actually, I stand corrected; you're right, I'm wrong...it's been a while. If you grounded a hot wire it would have the same effect as having a limb laying across a hot wire; it would short out the fence. Chaos' "sailboat" is the symbol for a ground.
