No one minds bugs, they are just bugs, but not to her. She finds them fascinating.

@BantyChooks Hatch update on yours?
Not sure but it would probably teach them a lesson to stay downstairs. Cats like to have the run of the whole place.mornin Paddler and everyone else! Paddler I know your peeves on outside cats. I am trying hard to let them stay downstairs but they keep wanting to comeupstairs and be killed by all the springers, is it possible to introduce kittens to five springers and not get them killed?
...
Perhaps run it by the university paleontology department.
Not even a petrified turd?lol not a turd
Is he Israeli?
I'm sure you guys have a lot more walleye than we do. More habitat for them.A Firetiger jointed Rapala trolled at 2.4 knots over a mid lake saddle that had just the right amount of weeds.
But i had been getting them on a Firetiger deep diver....but a big pike inhaled and then broke my 10 pound leader.
Walleye here have to be 15"....this one was 18"......they have been running 17 to 20" the last few trips.
Another reason I'm glad my Bone Marrow Transplant worked....now I'm trying to live long enough for the grandkids to remember me.....![]()
I like it. We do that stuff here too. Also pickup bed hot tubs and poor man's ice skating rinks.
Depends on what part of NY. It's a pretty big diverse state. Adirondack Park is amazing. It's bigger than Yellowstone, Everglades, Glacier and Grand Canyon Parks combined.I'd rather live in ND than NY.
I haven't.Ever been to ND?
I feel your pain. I never really minded ants till they killed 2 beehives this year. Now I'm
I think you've gotten really good advice so far.Can I ask the folks with HORSE experience a question? My daughter has been riding since she was 5 (she's 9 now). Her pony that she has ridden for the last 3 years lost his eye this summer and she had to switch to a new pony. She's done great adjusting to him even though he is a very jumpy horse and her other pony was very laid back. Anyway, a couple of weeks ago her riding instructor asked her to ride another pony for a video for the veterinarian to pin point a problem he was having with his hind leg. While she was on him he freaked out for no reason and started bucking and threw her. Knocked the wind out of her and bruised her back, cut her elbows and palms up too. Her worst fall to date. She got back on the pony she's been riding the next week and had a total meltdown, crying, panicking... she's so scared now (he isn't even the one that threw her). Anyway, she told me today that she thinks she wants to take a break. Advice? Should I let her take a break or should I push her to keep riding and overcome her fear? I KNOW she loves it! (I have no horse experience and am scared of them personally, but I have never let my fear stop her from riding.)
Little guy sitting on the ground killing ants when the preacher happened by and asked the boy what he was doing. kid says "I'm killing these GD ants". Preacher says "You shouldn't take the Lord's name in vain, son, and hate is a strong word that you shouldn't use. Name me three things that you truly hate."
Kid thinks for a minute, then says "Vegetables, school, and these GD ants."
But then they would never lay eggs or be able to fend for themselves. No, they're supposed to be babies forever.
How old is the bird and is this the first one?I am hoping someone can help me. Does anyone know what causes a chicken to lay an egg that has no shell? It has just the membrane part. Am I doing something wrong? I hope someone can help me as I am worried I am not giving them something in their diet. Thanks so much!
Thanks. I have to drive up to Davenport, IA this weekend to get the birds. That's over 5 hours each way. Her husband is driving back from Washington to deliver some Cotton Patch Geese and White Chanteclers to Iowa and Indiana so I'll meet him on his way.Good luck with them.![]()
You always post the most appetizing pictures at lunch time.Several months ago I found a rooster with a nasty infected eye, but no other signs of respiratory infection, so I removed the pus as best as I could and set him free. Several days later the pus was back, so I did it again, but this time I was more aggressive and manged to get this out of his choanal slit:
Cause of sinus infection was the foxtail. To get it out I had to apply pressure to the area between his nostril and his eye. No antibiotics were given.

Sorry you're having a hard time with your incubator. I thought about you when I found an egg sitting in the direct sun... Brought it in and measured the shell temp at 106, but decided to set it anyway, so we'll see what happens.
