Gross, yet true. I can't see eating a bird with only enough meat for a nugget. But I know a lot of you guys do it.

It will need hand feeding and proper feed. Nest babies aren't independent like chicks.

I don't even want to raise the chicks! And, as you said, they are pretty independent. I have read up on the habits of doves. I only figured out the nest switch because of it. You have my interest though. I will watch the video.

Apparently. The other articles talked about the fact that they see humans as predators, and will abandon the nest if a person gets too close. The article Chickencanoe linked mentioned how trusting they are of humans.
Interesting....berry berry interesting.
