I've heard of goat & sheep people who take advantage of that & save fencing costs by using rivers & creeks as barriers. Never heard how they dealt with swimming predators, though

They are so funny I can see that working. The guard animals like my llama would be the first defense like on a range I guess.

I think by the end of the first week in Oct. They have to stay here until after a Serama show the 24th of Sept. Then they are free to go.

Bummer. I won't be around when they would hatch and I doubt my wife would want to take care of them.

Hey everyone! I lost all my quotes

, but thanks to everyone who answered any questions I may have had.
I just got my new chickens (somehow it ended up being six instead of four ....

). It looks like I've got some Production Reds, a Black Star, and two others that I'm not sure of yet!
So, over the course of a few months, I went from 11 to 3 (thanks to a fox

) to 12 to 18!

Chicken math! I wish I hadn't lost the eight, but, if I hadn't, I wouldn't have the ones I have now, so a blessing in disguise .... sort of. Not that I like it, and I would do anything to have them back, but it turned out ok. I still hope something bad happens to that evil, terrible fox! I couldn't catch him, sooooo ...... I hope he stubs his toe or gets a paper cut or steps on a lego, or something really painful. Alright, I'm done with my speech. Hope everyone is having a wonderful evening!
