Luckily I was able to corner them all this time.
I opened the incubator with 7 chicks inside and immediately 5 came flying out. I was able to trap 2 inside. 3 of the 5 hit the floor running.

There's barely fish in there. Only snakes and terrapins, and baby fish. And frogs, I guess. It usually dries up in August/September, but not this year.

We were out in the humidity, and heat as the day progressed, for about 4 hours.
Guess who lugged all that plywood sheathing from the trailer, cut them where necessary, and pushed them up to the BIL on the roof with the nail gun?
And we still have the back side of the roof to go yet, where it's at least 4' higher.
Who talked me into starting this project, anyway? I'm getting too old for this crap!
