That is exactly my point of view, the majority of us unfortunately have to work to have a decent life, but I work to live, not live to work!

If I had the financial ability not to work, I would be in research in the university, Ph.D seems wonderful, and I surly would travel more!

And you could come visit us.

He was physically and sexually abusive. He was finally caught stealing money from the church, our full address was published in the newspaper. My last two years of high school, I had to keep a low profile. Even the teachers were not above taunting. His death was only sad because he was not mourned.

So you had to wait for it to happen naturally.

Indeed my freind! It would be very nice to meet all of you.

Our RIR started eating our eggs. :hmm We only have 2 hen's who are laying right now. No clue why she started doing that. I'm guessing she won't stop, but should I separate her out before she teaches the other chickens to do that?

She may easily teach the habit to the others so removal would be wise.
Usually it starts with an egg getting broken and they discover how good they taste.
Remove eggs frequently. Add a bunch of fake eggs and/or golf balls so they are stymied when they try to break and eat them.

An egg eater could be a big problem!
I would put some golf balls in the coop and let it peak them constantly (collect your eggs ASAP you can!) This endless Useless pecking CAN convince here to stop eating the egg. if not chicken soup is delicious!

Our goats get into their nesting area, and stepped on an egg. they like the straw bedding, so go in there and "nest" with the chickens. They literally will squeeze themselves into one of the nesting boxes to lay with the chickens while they lay eggs. It's an annoying habit the goats have... I hadn't found a way to keep them out of the coop during the daytime, with out also locking our chickens out, and the chickens lay either right before bed, or around 9-11am.

I was thinking of just removing her, and giving her her own box next to the other chickens, she's our best layer, so if I can catch the egg before she eats it... we shall see, I'll move her tonight. I just hope the the remaining rooster/hen do okay with out her. It will be a while before my other 10 females are ready to be with him since they are only 3 weeks old.

I'm going to make her a little shelter, and see what I can do for an alternative nesting box. Maybe paint some rocks brown/white and put them in the nesting box with her, so she will realize she can't peck at them?

I'd hate to have to eat her. :(

make a slanted nest box so the egg rolls out:
