Yeah, which is why I was so amazed when Star was born. Considering the kids fought over the eggs, and shook them around, and it sat in a bowl for a few days before it went into the incubator, and the toddler and my oldest rammed into the incubator a few times. LOL

Of the 2 that looked most viable (if I think the other 4 just were duds to start with, no development ever seemed to happen at all.) we had a 50% hatch rate, with a 100% grow to the end rate... I'll take it.

Hoping our Silkie eggs were getting tomorrow or friday, have some good luck, too. They didn't arrive today, so I'm gonna check the post office tomorrow.

The ducks are finally out of their teen stage and are back to their sweet selves. They come running when I go into the coop and occasionally come over and sit in my lap..... I don't regret getting them one single bit.

silkies can be difficult too, dont let the kids near them

The hen made it. Wife picked it up. PO was really glad she was there early. They open at 10:00 but let her in at 9:00.

She's eating well already and was sent with a good sized piece of Apple
