My wife would take the trip.
It is all about priorities.
We used to go on tropical or mountain vacations multiple times a year - when I had a job.
The last time I took the family anywhere other than in MO was to Costa Rica. Since then, the wife and kids have footed the bill for their own trips. Son has been to China, Thailand and Cambodia. Daughter has been all over Eastern and Western Europe, Laos, Viet Nam, Cambodia, Thailand, Mexico and Costa Rica. My wife met my daughter in Thailand for work with elephants and to island hop.
I've stayed home to garden and chicken sit.

I can't complain too much. I like what I'm doing and I did take a couple trips by myself to Mexico and Costa Rica.

I don't think she looked closely at the paint swab on the lid. Though she would be thrilled with any work I did on the house. Well, thrilled is a bit strong.

Oh, I've already been served.

Just a regular cheap LED however, green/blue/dark brown eggs are difficult to see into no matter what. You can see air pockets and dark masses.

Maybe I'll get a picture when it dries tomorrow. The outside is forest green and white with dark brown architectural shingles.
Normally I would take the trip too but I want a barn soooo bad!!! My husband has been away from home traveling for work for the past year and he finally got a job in state. So I am finally enjoying having him here and being "homebodies". I got the next best think and got a second 8x12 shed to set up as a coop for my free range egg layers. My "ornamental" chicks-polish, silkies, etc get the "fancy" coop with the run and my Seramas have taken over what is supposed to be the "man cave" 3rd section of the garage and my incubators have taken over the spare room. So now hubby is stuck with the man cave basement with the rabbits.

PS I bet you could totally do something awesome with Chicken Poop Green!!!!!! Trim it out with hunter orange or go with a 70's theme!!! My coop is decorated better than my house lol.

Finally got rid of the last egg in our incubator. Dad said it had been dead for a while when he disposed of it. He opened it up to make sure it had developed properly, and it had died in shell.
