Here I am when the diffuser got a little out of hand. I wiped the milk off my lip.

What am I doing wrong?! They are 8 days old in the pictures (taken last night). The incubator is at 100* and humidity is at 45. I tried to get it up higher but it likes to stay at 45.

Why do I seem to have two air cells? They are not shipped eggs and are from a local breeder. Thank you for your help.

I will be surprised it this one makes it, as it is missing part of the shell. I have a paper towel over it. I am surprised it has developed this much so far. The shell was broken off a little bit at day 3.
you need to candle with the light at the air cell aka FAT end of the egg

HOW TO CANDLE EGGS post #40826

Yeah, I didn't think the goats would eat cooked veggies, but I was wrong. LOL
I think they eat everything.

I don't think you're doing anything wrong. Green eggs, if that's what they are, are very difficult to see into.

To me, they actually look semi okay, I would just wait it out and lock down at day 18 and see what happens. But, I don't know much of anything about candling eggs yet, I'm on my second batch. LOL

The top hen decided to visit my broody and her babies today. Broody didn't even care she was in there, and she pecked several in the head. Is this because my broody knows who the boss is?!?

Not sure if it's because she's the boss or just testing the waters type of thing. My two broodies have been raising the chick and ducklings with the rest of the flock since about 3 days after they all hatched. The two moms protected them the first couple of days and now the babies run everywhere and nobody bothers them.
