That's like the little fella who lives in my GPS; he's not from around here. I can tell because he mispronounces so many words, and gets directions mixed up. On my 2nd or 3rd trip to WI, I was fairly familiar with the local area around my destination in Racine, but not enough so to turn off the GPS. Came up to a T intersection where there was a sign clearly showing that Racine was to the right; little guy in the GPS was telling me to go left.
Yea some of those little fellas are easy to confuse.

Quote: Many of the turkey starters will have bacitracin, which ducks *can* have, it's actually what I feed my peachicks, ducklings, and poults.

More on medicated feed:
Hi Kathy –

The issue here is not so much one of safety as it is one of regulations. Amprolium, the medication present in our medicated chick starter, has never been approved by the FDA for use in waterfowl. Therefore, we cannot legally recommend its use for these birds. However, veterinarians have been using it very successfully off-label for years as a coccidiostat for all kinds of birds, including waterfowl.

The fear of medication for waterfowl dates back to the early days of medicated feed, when sulfa drugs were used. Waterfowl typically eat more than chickens do, so when they ate feed medicated at a concentration that was ideal for chickens, they tended to over-imbibe the medication, which was often fatal. Amprolium is not a sulfa drug and does not have that effect.

Start & Grow is formulated to meet the growth needs of baby chicks until they reach 18 weeks of age. We recommend Start & Grow for chicks and Flock Raiser for waterfowl or mixed flocks. If you feel your waterfowl need medication, consult with your vet to determine what would be best for them.

Did you know that Purina make a medicated version of Flock Raiser? Here it is:

If she gave two tubes, that's 452 mg of moxidectin (I think). If I did the math correctly, her 200 pounder should have had just 3.64 mg (double dose).

Lots of people say too much protein is bad, but like i said earlier, I haven't had any issues with angel wing while feeding 27%. Truth be told, had one six years ago, and that one was fed 18%.

I really think it would be best to have a turkey starter for the poults, and flock raiser for the chicks and ducklings, but I understand not wanting to deal with multiple bags.

Quote: They won't have the medicated, they have this, which looks the same:

That will be fine for the chicks and ducklings.

@kajira , I just searched the TSC website for a turkey/game bird starter, and they didn't have it, so be prepared, you might have to go to another feed store. The one my TSC had the last time I looked was this:
Purina Game Bird Startena (30% protein)

@BantyChooks

Just candled: down to 7 duck eggs and 5 chicken eggs. I burned my finger on the bator and dropped the egg. Luckily it only cracked the dud, I think.
WOW only 7! dang!!!

Alright I am back from candling 15 of all the eggs are doing good, 4 of the serama eggs I am unsure about, and two of the serama eggs were a sure early death so I did and autopsy and they look they died on about day 4 or so. Hopefully the rest of the seramas do good and hatch or else I might have to order some more eggs Sally.

What will be the situation if he will fall in love and merry a woman that expect the same from her husband?
I'm not sure my son will ever actually get married.. but I'm sure once he's an adult, him and his future wife to be, can sort that out. Assuming he picks one who can put up with his quirks. LOL

Morning sweet Sally! :hugs I had 10 start out, but got a few blood rings now. I think I need to lower the humidity again. All look ok I think and there are only a few bad saddles now. Also not sure how to tell if the cam is at the bottom? They all look empty down there. Is day 14 too early?
