I'm reading through that other thread now. That's good information. do you find that it happens more often in the heritage/larger turkeys vs the more wild-smaller style turkeys?First year they kept flipping over, and I was unable to save any of them.

Since you are going to eat your turkeys, you will really should consider keeping them on ground that chickens have not been on, because the medications used to treat blackhead are banned for use in food animals.

Makes sense. I have an idea on where I wanted to pen up my turkeys. I was reading that turkeys don't "play well" with other poultry, like chickens, and often kill them. So I was assuming I probably had to keep them separated because of that.Not sure what the FOS problem was, perhaps it was something genetic, or something they picked up at the feed store. If I remember correctly, the flippers were all heritage breeds.
