I just realized today is lockdown for chicken eggs! guess I'd better clean the hatcher.

In my expert opinion...........actually I know little to nothing about chicken genetics and coloring.   You could put a legband on the two you think are cockerels and see if you were right when they grow up.

I love the intro. It got my attention and I was ready to soak up the knowledge.

I hunted with a percussion cap before. That was fun. I think our early muzzleloader season inlines and percussion cap are legal, I think the late muzzleloader is flintlock only. Archery season last about 6 weeks and rifle season lasts about 2 weeks.

Those seasons are comparable to what I was used to growing up. NC is a bit different. Also not used to initial limit of 6 deer with the possibility of buying 2 tags at a time after those 6 are taken. I aim to fill my freezer.

Our archery season's been open for a month, but it's been so hot & I've been so busy that I haven't been out yet, which is a shame, considering I only have to go to the end of the yard to the box blind. Mule loader's my favorite season, though, (even over rifle season) & it comes in this next month.

Mine is clean and mean. Plain jane wood stock and iron sigths. Love shooting it but its a pain to clean.

Can you put a hardware cloth screen over it so they can't touch it?

Not sure what that is haha, It's a brooder on sticks that stays at around 20-30watts so it doesn't get too hot but if it's too close to them and for a long period I reckon it could burn. I just have to raise it on its little stick things every couple of days as they grow

Going to move them into a bigger brooder box that I have ready when they're a little bigger too. This one is just for when they're little buttons like how they are now

Wait chaos, the bigger head spots are the boys and they have the more yellow beaks?

Bigger spot is supposed to be boy with more yellow in beak, legs and in coloring as well.

Yea I aim to fill my freezer every year as well. I think most we can take is 6 doe and a buck.
