do you use probiotics in the feed or water? or ACV with the mother in water? was it the one with the yolk that needed some aborbtion yet? sometimes that dont let the poop slide lol. there is a good read here if you get time!! Quick lesson on pasty butt post #4657
Quote: you try to lock up before they are in the coops? I always wait for them to find their homes. Ive never had issues lettting them free range, they know their homes, unless they havent been in them long enough.

Hello, Darlin'
I sure hope you're feeling better today.
No,I wait 'til it's close to full dark; sometimes even need a flashlight. I guess mine aren't the brightest bulbs on the tree

yes in the waterer, just keep checking she should be fine, that is typical.   are you holding them alot? lol     Sounds like yer doing great!!  lucky chicks!

Okay cool, I'll do it when I do my daily water change for them in the morning, They kick so much crap into the water in such a short time!! Cute little scratching!

Not intensionally! If you put your hand in there they all come rushing out from under the brooder plate to either peck at my rings or jump into my hand and use it as a step to jump on top of the brooder plate!

Didn't really want them to be too tame because they're for eggs and meat, but it's nice that they don't seem to mind us big humans! :)

Thank you! I've had chicks before but never from eggs to day olds! Been a great xp

Cannot wait to do it again :p
