Can you hit what you're aiming at with a xbow?
.22 short is relatively quiet
Yes they are but these are supposed to be quieter. I'll have to get some from son and give them a try. Skunks are back
Yuppers! I love my 22. Great predator gun. If need be. I wish they'd just forget about my farm but the odds of that happening......lol hey I hear ya!! You should hear my 270 deer rifle!!!
Avid hunters here!!!
God bless!
Glory
just take it out and dry it off gently in front of a heater/low hair dryer and put it in your bra/It is jumping and hitting the lid...could it hurt itself doing this? God this sucks!
This remains to be seen. I would buy a target and practice a lot. The prey would be trapped and shot at close range. If I become proficient, I might attempt to shoot a treed predator on my own tree. Besides noise, I am very concerned about stray ammo in the city.
I've been studying these CCI Quiet bullets and reviews seem mixed as to how quiet they are.
My understanding is this:
They are designed for long rifles and not recommended for auto loading firearms. My pistol uses a clip. They could be loaded into my pistol one at a time but still louder than a rifle. I guess I'm too uncomfortable with the gun in the city. I'm talking 60' x 120' lots stacked next to each other. In the country I would do it.
Thanks for all the information and encouragement!![]()
Quote: I'm serious as a heart attack! I've never tried it 'cause mine dries out fairly quick & my birds are either free ranging or in their fenced yard, but I don't know why they wouldn't work, and enrich the soil when they rot. I was going to suggest hay, as well, but hay gets moldy when it's wet, which wouldn't do your birds any good, I don't think.
I am needing recommendations for possum pellet gun. Effective on racoons, too would be great.
Live in the city, so need one that's vewwy, vewwy qwiet.
Thanks in advance
Quote: Better idea!
Go to Ollie's and buy a big tarp. Rake or blow the leaves onto to it, fold it a bit to keep most of the leaves on it, & tow the whole thing to the run with the lawn tractor or ATV
Yes, this is what I had in mind originally, but reviews are so mixed regarding both silence and ability to penetrate possum and/or coon skulls that my head was spinning.there is one that uses pumped up air pressure as a propellant
