Scaredy goats
my RIR doesn't like our Easter Eggers, she acts like she wants to get them through the fence :(

I want to move some more hens in with my other roosters and I don't know when I should do it if she's anti strangers.

They're living next to their area in a coop so they can see them, and they'll be big enough in a couple more weeks to be moved. But, if she decides to hate them... :/ Maybe when I move the other hens around, I should move her to their old coop and make her watch them for a couple weeks before trying to move her back.

Do any good?

...
Better but the team still lost. I was 2-2. My son, who had been 2-2, lost all 3 of his games. My buddy that had also not won a game also won 2.
The other team's handicap was lower than ours so we had to spot them games.
Would take care of the ant problem and make dinner of roasted chicken at the same time.
It won't get the ones in the subterranean tunnels.

he charged me 16 for shipping, and then the box said shipping was 10 bucks. LOL

But i'm letting that slide, since he's sending me a second box next week. I paid 8 per turkey, 80, plus 5 per duck, for a total of 116.
so he's gonna try to give me a lot of ducks to make up for thhe missing 5 turkeys. LOL
I always charge extra for handling. My foam egg shippers aren't cheap and the time it takes to find the right size boxes, make sure they're packed perfectly, filling out the NPIP forms (not to mention the NPIP process in general) sometimes makes me think I don't charge enough for eggs.
I need to charge more. I was selling eggs for $2 each so I think I've been under selling them.

Just peachy here. Rained on us last night and it's threatening to do it again.
Started raining when I was at pool and the wife had to lock up. I forgot to tell her there was an additional building she had to secure since last week. She figured it out.

He will do what ever he wants regardless of what we tell him.

Waste of breath.

But she's 5. I think 5 year old girls have more common sense then teenage boys.... :p
That's true.

Is it wrong to be anxious for the chicks to get big enough to eat?
Not at all. I have so many cockerels now. I'm just biding my time. I think I may schedule a couple processing classes for our chicken group.

"Whisper words of wisdom, let it be."

What is everyone got going this weekend?
Tomorrow I'm helping my coop fairy move her bed back upstairs since she's recovered from hip surgery and can now do stairs again. I hope to finish refurbishing the little green coop (aka the killing fields) to move a flock in there. I want to put down a cement topping mix on the concrete to smooth it out if I can get it clean enough.
Sunday the dog is going to the groomer in the city and then the wife and I are going to the Best of Missouri Market at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Foods, produce, arts, crafts, music, etc.. 150+ vendors.

So, for those of you who've raised turkey's before.. are they trainable? I was watching youtube videos of people teaching them tricks. Have you guys tried doing that?
I haven't but the coop fairy has.

I'm gonna candle my eggs!

Twice a day? You never know, there could be a change in a few hours.

Trying to figure out if I could clicker train a turkey, the way you can a dog. :L
Absolutely. I went to her chicken clicker training class at the Humane Society.

I can't show my wife this or she'll want one.

I think that you are personalize to much your chickens, they don't hate, or love, they just act according to its instincts and nature.
She is the alfa chicken and she want to stay like that.
