I make my own mayo occasionally. I whip it in the blender and just dribble the oil through an opening in the top. It works great

Oh! Thanks! Sounds doable. May I ask what speed??

Looks delicious! Do you make your own mayo? If so, what kitchen tool do you use to whip it so it doesn't "break".

I haven't made my own yet. I keep asking my wife to save the mayo jar when it's empty but it ends up in the recycle bin. Right now we don't have enough eggs to make any.

Nice job. Looks like the mild steel rod worked perfectly.

It did work perfectly. I edited the original post to show the diameter of rod I used.

Oh... hmm. What the worst outcome? A hobbling chicken? It's getting around. I'm naming it Houdini. Pretty sure it's a boy too. Long comb pad... while out and about after dropping son at the SATs, I stopped to get my birds some more food, and I heard them from across the store... babies... happen to have Silve and Red laced Wyandottes... got one each and 2 EE/Ameraucana... They had adorable NN too! But alas, they were special ordered for someone... I might have to get some lol. I'm a chicken border...

Yes, I'm backwards. I'm going to try another complicated procedure of chicken raising, and "artificially" inseminate my now laying sebright with my Silver Laced Polish' seeds

Not 100% convinced this is an EE just yet. It was next door to Leghorns...

Omg, Houdini is already walking around, as if he hasn't been having any issues. Still sits with a knee or whatever out to the side though. Hmm. I should do the sock thing again over night.

Quote: I weigh all peachicks because I like to make sure they are gaining enough weight. Any lack of gain or loss usually means they are getting sick. I also weigh them because I'm collecting data that will hopefully help other folks with peafowl..

Here is a chart of this years chicks:

@ChickenCanoe weighs eggs, so he can probably answer the egg weight questions better.
