I was planning on incubating them and was hoping to get some advice of how best to proceed.

Slightly damp washcloth, scrub barely, only get off anything thick. Or, you can do it the better way. It's a little dirty, but take your fingernail and scrape the dirt off. It works really well, and prevents you from blocking the eggs pores.

May not be the best way but when I hatched some of my ducks eggs, I didn't wash them at all. Just scraped off the big chunks. I had 12/15 hatch, two were clears and one early death. One of my best hatches actually!

The meaning of the name is the " intelligent intelligent man" or the " knowledgeable knowledgeable man" the scientific names of critters are given to enable to scientist from deferent parts of the world, and don't speak the same language to communicate properly!
By the way, the scientific name of chicken means: " chicken chicken domesticated"
