They're fun to hatch also, b/c when you candle, you can see EVERYTHING.
they certainly do! and the breeds can be the coolest breeds too if you research them! my favorites were my white faced black spanish!!!

I got one of those, funny because it was in with a bunch of roosters at a feed store. but I knew it was female but the white egg layers have big combs. It would follow me like a dog.
 
So I have a question for you guys. What is the difference between a "blue", "lavender" or "grey" colored chicken? They all look very similar to me...

Not all white egg layers have big combs. Though, that's what you think of when you think of the typical white egg layer. Mine are rose combed brown leg horns. There are a few rose combed birds that lay white eggs.
