Thanks for the info by the way - I had a good look at the post. I grabbed an egg for another look and there was movement this time - so still hope! Still Day 1 so perhaps they're being slow?! Temperature's been steady the whole time and I recounted the days just to make sure. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a hatch still.

Oh no! Sorry to hear that. Do you think mine are ok? During the night, after I upped the water and humidity for lockdown, the temp dropped to 98.5... Probably all night... I candled last night... Should I candle tonight and check on them? It's day 19.

They're probably fine, they should be generating some of their own body heat now at that stage, keep them in lockdown. Watch for wiggling and peeping.

Depends on how long it's been like that. You've got to remember, if a hen was setting them they'd cool down whenever she got up to eat or drink.

With all the problems with temperature fluctuations you've had recently, you'd do well to forget getting any more eggs 'til you can get your incubator stabilized over 3-4 days w/o those drastic fluctuations.
