Well be careful in that slippery stuff....went down to the lake today...walked out on the ice.....not far only to about knee deep.

mine was uneventful...we had dinner Christmas eve...My wife worked yesterday I did brakes on my truck....
I had 4 like that in my one and only incubation. I assisted all 4, and all 4 are happy, healthy chicks! I got really lucky!!!
I assisted 4 after a few hours of pipping. I removed a tiny bit of shell around the pip, and when I didn't see blood vessels, I opened a 1/4" slit in the membrane by the beak so the chick could get fresh air. I kept the membrane wet with a damp Q-tip while working on it. I left them alone for a few more hours, and then removed a little more shell from around the hole. Then I left them alone. All 4 hatched by zipping around the middle of the shells.
Well, those are events of sorts. My wife worked yesterday as well, then the kids came over and spent the evening. That was pretty much it...
