INCUBATING w/FRIENDS! w/Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs No problem!

She is being a great mama so far. This is my first hatch and I feel a lot like CH33 but I was told if I touch the broodie I could injure the chicks and so I have not peeked under the hood

Some of them can get rather protective, not certain about Silkies, but you might be safer not touching.

She is okay with me being around. Doesn't want visitors for the most part and she has been very mild tempered this whole time.
Sunshine one of my buff Silkies is another story! She wants to Brood but is a Mean broodie. Wont even let the other Chickens in her coop roost near the nest. I gave her 2 big eggs from the Ladies coop just in case something went wrong with Babybears hatch since I don't have an incubator I thought I would be able to at least try to get her to finish if BB did not.

UMMM as of last night not yet finished I checked on her at about 6pm and got to see this


The Christmas Eve ones are getting big

Last count I think I have seen 5 maybe 6 different chicks.



Haven t checked on her yet this morning was just going to do that I bet she is ready to get up!
I have been giving her food and water and the chicks are eating as well.
I am learning alot from this with patience being top of the list. I will Never just say *Fine you may have those eggs* again. I will collect and plan for the hatch. I really thought she would get up at some point my last 2 broodies had rotten chicks or they killed them all.

They are cute *Yard Chicks* I might have to post pick of the babies and the possible donors see who matches up with whom

Yeah....my wife I think finally fell a sleep...I'm drinking a hot chocolate and going to try again on a minute. I even doubled up on my morphine tonight.....sleep eludes me....

Don't let yourself become addicted to that crap; I understand that's pretty easy to do. Dr. should take you off of it before it becomes a problem

Umm I wish Laundry was on the list today.
I will be going over to my daughters house to help with Head lice

She is pregnant so I told her NOT to touch the Lice Shampoo and we will see if she has it Poor SIL doesnt know what to look for but CrazyLady will learn him today!
