So this is where you disappear to . the pointed end will be clear more than not . most people look from the top of the egg . so they don't see the pointed end . If the air cells look good and there is not a large amount of fluid between the air cell and the chick . all should be fine . the fluid line should be a very fine line for best hatch results. temperature fluctuations are common in Styrofoam incubators with ceramic filled metal heating elements . sometimes as much as six degrees . but most of the time its more like four degrees the important thing is that the eggs remain at a constant temperature . that is why all recommend you take the temperature at the top of the eggs .
yea Saris you tell her she can hide any thing under thereJust hide it under your desk. ;-)
HA HA HA @BYC910where u from?
Welcome over Scovy Mom!!..gawsh, I have a lot of reading to catch up in this thread!![]()
I'm not too horribly worried about the incubator currently. I am more worried about my 1 day old chick. I told hubs to go grab the month olds... he was huddled up with them earlier, I figure if they were protecting him earlier, they'd keep him warm now. Sounds like the generator is starting to run out of gas, and I'm stuck here for another hour![]()
ugggggggg then its heading my way after at least I have most externally pipped this morning, hope they hatch by then. but I still have brooders and the other bator. oh well generator is ready to pull.I think its headed our way this evening, but the strongest parts of it should stay south of us. Really windy, and likely to get an inch or two of hard rain.
Everyone make it through the storm in Spokane last night w/o too many problems?
