The storm is hitting us in Eastern Tennessee now, lots of rain and super high winds. Praying everyone out there with out power is Ok. This weather is so strange for november. Stay safe everyone!
yeah we put one of the month olds with new baby. The month old ours letting him snuggle under a wing and occasionally sitting on him like an egg.I am glad you got the generator back up and that chick is okay. Hope it continues to get better in your area, sounds pretty beat up, good luck.![]()

Not sure what you're calling a water pan waterer. If you're just talking about a regular pan that you can fill with feed or water, it wouldn't warm up any more than the air around it, except for the body heat the birds produce, UNLESS there was a heating pad underneath it.

It's not like what you described earlier, but if you're looking for something that'll keep chicks warm, this will work:No, not exactly. Mine was circular, & made of metal (maybe plastic), but same general concept. My only concern would be the chance of a chick getting under the edge of a mat laying on the surface, and any bedding getting stuck on the fabric covering, making it a PITA to clean.
