You can keep the pic up, incubating comes first here and stuff like that just happens. Chickenkeeping sure aint something for the weak hearted!
Even the new guy approves![]()
do you feed scratch on the ground at times cc?Yes, the numbers are brutal.
I am wondering about the cold, but this is not the first rodeo that my Roo has let me down on.
We did have temps in the -5 f range overnight when I was collecting these, and single digit highs, but my silkies are pretty good about sitting tight on the nest until I collect their eggs. They are usually quite warm when I get to them.
Hey Rod! there you are!Evening
Don't feel bad; it's all I can manage to correctly set the alarm on my cell phone!I will repost it when I get the spoiler figured out. Might just be my tablet that's causing the issue.
Or my lack of knowledge on some of the finer points of this inter web thingy technology![]()
well not only where the eggs in the incubator dead... the two chicks died![]()
Have your broody Seramas raised chicks before or are they newbie moms? My little hen that is on eggs, only hatched once before and didn't take care of the babies. It may have been better if she was by herself but there are a few others in there too that may have interfered. I would only trust them if they raised chicks before....golden pheasants!!! LOVEEEEEEEE good luck on the eggies! and pics of the newbies! I want to hatch a macaw HarmonyAnn wants one so bad! I cant justify that cost
Hey!!! She has FOUR broody serama hens, do you think they would take these chicks I just hatched and raise them with the other serama in the pens? they are two days old now though, I only realized their were that many today since husband fed a few days.
