Sally,
I do feed scratch on the ground as a treat, probably once or twice a week.
I don't seem to be having the same fertility issues with my EE's, OE's and Basque.
They get the same feed, and the same treats.

Have your broody Seramas raised chicks before or are they newbie moms? My little hen that is on eggs, only hatched once before and didn't take care of the babies. It may have been better if she was by herself but there are a few others in there too that may have interfered. I would only trust them if they raised chicks before....
no they are newbie wannabes I only ever left one serama hatch and she was sold. ok bummer thanks! when is it TOO late to try age wise with chicks?

Hey, y'all

I have no problem with mechanical and electrical devices when I can touch, feel, and see them, but when the tablet or the puter are involved, I get flustered.

I can write computer code and design ladder logic for computer operated equipment at work, but when it comes to using an app on a website........

I have no experience with any of the LG's...someone else here probably does
I have 2 LG's. I thought they were both 9300s, but they are very different.

One has a little post that you turn to adjust the temp. It's square and the square lid comes off and fits back on very carefully with small channels to fit the power cords through. 6 separate or at least 4 of them are separate water channels. That one was has a fan in it. Two windows at the top with the fan covering one of the vent holes. It had a cheap paper thermostat that came with it, that we threw away. I have 2 hydrogometers or whatever they are called in there. It holds the temps really well for me. I have to use 2 sponges and add water regularly to keep the humidity steady.

The second has the same 2 windows, but it has a digital display. It is taller than the first. Plus it's lid has 2 cut outs like handles on the bator to open and close it. To me this is easier to make sure it's all lined up. To adjust the temp you hold a set button down, then hit the up and down buttons to change it. This one has a bunch of water channels in the bottom, I forget if they are connected. The gauge for the temp and humidity is the plastic square that is dangling. It's not very useful that I can tell. The humidity is way off, and the temp is totally different than the other 2 I have in there. I have no fan in this one, but I will be adding one. I use the same 2 sponges in this one and have to add water constantly also. I have 2 additional temp/humidity gauge in this one. Since there is no fan, the temps very widely depending on where each one is.

That said, at my first lockdown I moved my egg turner over to the non fan incubator, while I used the one with a fan to hatch my first lock-downed chicks. I hatched 10 out of 12 around Christmas, When it came time to lockdown the 1/1 hatch along chicks I switched incubators. I moved the egg turner back to the one with the fan, and locked down the 7 HAL chicks, plus 3 more that went in a few days later. All 10 hatched.

So, I like these. They are working for me. I know that there is an entire thread on the Little giant incubators. A lot of people prefer the Brinsea I think.

Sorry, if this was too long of an explanation!

BAD BAD BAD saddles

One went almost all the way to the pointy end, like a 1/4". That one hatched!

I got 6 of 15.

I'm lucky to get any.

Also, first hatch with my HovaBator 2362N (previous to 1602).
Only reason I used it was cuz I was going out of town for Christmas, and couldn't turn them.

I don't like it!!

I need something Automatic.

Prolly gunna build it
