I looked at the 9300 when I was shopping for an incubator... and very quickly looked the other way. Even with the fan, it wasn't getting very good reviews. I'd buy a HovaBator, or even an FI, any day before I'd spend money on this LG.

CH needs to save up his money and buy a good incubator that'll help eliminate a lot of the headaches he's experienced...
Pretty much what I told him earlier

this I understand and it s not that part that concerns me its how does the cold affect the rooster as to sperm count ?
I have EE's, OE's and Basque cooking in the bator right now, all developing well as far I can tell. green, blue, and brown eggs, difficult to candle but seeing veins in all.
I also set a few more silkie eggs after checking 3 random eggs for bullseyes. all three test eggs were fertile, but i will give this roo the benefit of the doubt until spring.
if there is no improvement, he will be sold as 'eye candy' to someone in the summer.

Hugs???????
I was honestly expecting a smack!
I guess I don't tease you quite as much as Whites and Ur Do though!

no,I have the 9200, there discontinued model

9200 is better than the 9300, but even then LG's are very unreliable... sometimes you can find a good one, but it is rare...

What about the little giant 9300

Please, DO NOT get it, CH... for a styrobator I highly recommend the Genesis 1588 Hovabator if you can afford it... 2nd choice would be a 1602N Hovabator, but that one is still air so if you want a fan in it you'd have to install yourself... please look these up and check them out... :)

Well since it was breakfast time... are ya sure ya wanna blame it on booze
yes I had a heck of a hangover and my head was something horrible

We went to Trader Joes today. First time I'd ever been in one. Neat store, but no fertile eggs! However, there are 1 or 2 local stores that sell fertile eggs, including duck eggs. I'm itching to try a bit of a challenge, so may pick some of those up to hatch in March, along with some shipped eggs from a BYC reader. It will be interesting to see what I get from my own flock this spring.
lg!!! how you been? NO EGGS!!!! did you file a complaint!!! oh get some ducks to set!! i want to hatch some soooo ba!

digital, definitely.
closer, finer calibration. mine read in .1 degree increments and can be purchased at pet shops where they sell reptile supplies. I have seen similar ones at Lowes and Wally world.
Non digital I use for back up and in the brooder, a little more room for error in the brooder.
im always paranoid that the thermometers are off ugh

Maybe his dad could help him build a better incubator

What about the little giant 9300

I passed up a one time used 9300 that was on CL for 10 bux

Looked legit, clean etc.

I hear the temp is usually off 1.5-3.5 Fahrenheit.
The humidity gauge is Ballpark
Also, It's still air with a different coil.

Someone posted that the side the element was on hatched early and opposite the heater hatched late....
Think it was Bamadude.
It's $45 junk at TSC, IMO.

Automatic temp yes, with cheapo electronic controls, Not sure I would even trust the solder joints on it.

Add a fan, prolly a lil better. Coulda used it as a hatcher I guess.

I was not impressed with what I have heard.
