I don't trust digital at all have not found one that is right yet .also no longer trust human thermometers any more . old style yes new style no. .I want a thermometer that can be calibrated an set after it I calibrated . same with a hygrometer . I use MAINSTAYS cooking thermometer from walmart and a hygroset II for cigars for that reason . both can be reset after calibration . and both are very accurate . just sayingdigital, definitely.
closer, finer calibration. mine read in .1 degree increments and can be purchased at pet shops where they sell reptile supplies. I have seen similar ones at Lowes and Wally world.
Non digital I use for back up and in the brooder, a little more room for error in the brooder.
