Oh yea. Thanks for explaining. I usually just dump everything out and the cardboard and all the unnecessary paper goes it the burn pile.

Besides the extra parts that those things come with are useful for other things.

And the instructions that came with it were only concerning how to program it anyway. There was one wiring diagram which I have no clue how to read so I just figured it out...eventually...

Instructions are generally printed in 6 different languages, anyway; none of which are you fluent in.

I've used extra parts for many things. I find better uses for them than they do.

Exactly. Nothing useful in them at all. I could write better instructions then the people that get paid to write. I've even seen diagrams that weren't right.
