yes whut?

I use cabinets and rotate my eggs and then into the hatcher and keep filling up the trays in the cabinet, making for tons of staggered hatches, I use the reg coolers to pull out lockdown eggs and hatch. it leaves the big cooler open and available for more incubation and the smaller coolers are a cinch to clean out and sterilize, and the smaller space makes handling humidity and hatches better and I have a much better handle on temps and ventilation too.
Makes since now, thanks to you & pal Joey...

yes there local

but it only works for breeds that need the same amount of weight loss in a cabinet! I never incubate serama in that with others, or bantams.. shipped eggs usually go into the reg coolers to be handled differently.

and glad it makes sense cause I am getting all blurry eyed and crap on that lack of sleep so I am heading to la la land

I can post the same thing 10 times, and never shows up. Very frustrating!
I remember Sally asking about pictures of the basement earlier. I didn't take pictures of the aftermath because I didn't think anyone really want to see all that poop!
I have more places to put chickens than a person with only an acre should have. Building yet another coop, even for the winter, by the house just seems stupid to me. I just keep telling myself that it's too much.
That being said, I can have one put together in only a few hours. I've never had the chickens and the ducks actually in the same coop before, but I think they would be okay. I can't rule it out.
Outside of my back door, there is a porch and a totally enclosed area with two screen doors. One on each side. The one to the left is the main door. The one to the right is further from the porch, and where I would put that winter coop. I could then just open that door to get to the chickens. They would even have an electrical outlet nearby for heated water.
Tell me again why I don't want to do this. :-D
