That's the spirit, dolfi! Never give up... never surrender!Well I ended up curling all my flock 18 months ago because of cossis. I just couldn't stay away from chickens so after disinfecting and bio security I started all over again. Two months in and most chicks got the flow pox. I have three weeks in, lost about 5 of my favorite. Yesterday I finally saw the light, the ones left will make it, and some predator got 7 of my juveniles. I have chicken wire on my coops. (Chipper) now I have to invest in better, safer fencing.
Other than that I'm enjoying them. And refuse to give up, incubating, raising and maybe someday have enough eggs that I wouldn't have to buy any.
Collagen...Okay....why does hair and fingernails keep growing after we die?....I told you I have glaucoma...right?
Yeah I kinda got tired of waking up in the morning to empty fifths....figured it probably wasn't healthy.

Iculled because of cocci? awwww dolfi that is terrible! OMG you have had a heck of a share of stuff at your place!! what are you doing for biosecurity now?
This is a technical function, not an actual function. The body doesn't produce more hair and nail tissue, but both of these things do 'grow,' in the days after death. What actually happens is the skin loses moisture (although cosmetics companies are probably hard at work making a cream for that) and pulls back, exposing more hair and making nails seem longer. Since you do measure the length of hair and nails from the point where they meet the skin to the tip of the hair, the hair does 'grow'.
I have more you want more???
