Hello everyone! So I have everything in order on the coolerbator build. Just playing with the thermostat (pretty much all day so far ) It's a little annoying but I think I'm getting it. So with a wafer thermostat what is the degree variance? I'm getting with this one that it has to fall a whole degree in order to kick on. Is this the case with a wafer as well? It seems to be holding well though. I have added jars of water and am going to try my spot check thermometer in the water wiggler and see how much the water temp changes. Here are some pics, don't mind the temp reading I just did some adjustments while taking pictures

I'm researching everything and driving myself nuts of course. Good news is there was no snot or anything today.

Second good news, @Sally Sunshine I lightly candled from the top those Phoenix eggs and 6 of 10 are darkening up like they have something going on. Obviously it's only day 2 but I have a little more hope for them now.

These all got ground for jerky. With the Canadians and snows, it is usually ground for jerky or shredded for bbq. And no difference in taste the way we eat them. Specks are a whole nuther game. They get seared med rare on the grill or cast iron and ate like a filet. No other way for them.
