So I am keeping the dark cornish bantams.... what good are they though????


anyone know anything about them? I dont have current pics, these were as they were growin a bit







 
Come to think of it, I may have been. I read that it was developed by the military as a waterproof means of sealing boxes during the war, but I don't remember which war. I hatched in Feb. '44; I believe WWII ended in '45?
I think most awesomelly useful things were originally created for not there current uses.

OOOooooo purdy birdy. I know dark cornish are suppose to be good eating although probably won't get more than a couple nuggets outta bantam ones.

Pretty unique that the comb is down on the face, rather than on the top of the head. Are they the only breed to have this? Or is that not a comb at all?

I have to get updated images three roos and one is just lovely looking!! the hens coloring and all is amazing! I wonder if they show these birds, wonder if any money in eggs if I keep them... guess I will google after mom leaves
