Someone asked if I'd build a bigger chicken coop.
Nope. One and done.
But I'd probably buy a vacation house, put in a second coop (pre-fab...not gonna spend time building it), and then take the chooks with me. Oh, yeah, flying lessons and a private plane. Just a few splurges.

Hey that's an idea, instead of finding a farm sitter, build them a house to vacation with you

What is your end purpose for them? Are you raising birds for you or to sell? Chickens will always sell, as will ducks. Turkeys not so much.
I always had great luck with geese as far as resale.

well going out a limb here little buddy but I have to  say I'd go with chickens turkeys and ducks take to long and make to big a mess Emus are just to dang big and cost yep believe I'd go with chickens

But ducks are funny! And my two khakis and my runner/mallard lay consistently more than my chickens

Little computer fans cost about $2 on-line and there's a tutorial here at BYC on how to install. It helps keep the air circulating and, ergo, a more even temperature throughout the incubator. Buzzy, though.

The TJ's eggs were only 3 days old, so I could not resist. But I just figured I'd get maaaaaybe 2 chicks hatched per dozen, so was pretty surprised at the results.
three days! sweet!

@Sally Sunshine @fire370 and the rest who chimed in thank you! I was thinking about having two bulbs I actually have a dual bulb fixture I am gunna change out. And @LocalYokel I hadn't thought about a fan. I'm gunna test it when I get my thermometer and probly drill holes if needed. What would I need a fan for?
to circulate the air all around top to bottom and so you dont have hot spots under the light. place fan so it blows over and a tad under the light bulbs.
