Use the 5v one. It may not feel like a lot of air but you are only trying to move a cubic foot of air. You don't need a whole lot to get it moving around. You'll be fine.
When I looked at the fan in my LG, it looks like it's in a case, so the air is dispersed to the sides. I bought a basic computer fan to put in my second LG. So any suggestions on what I add to the fan to redirect the air away from hitting the eggs?

I shoot mine down on the eggs. It doesn't seem to hurt the hatch rate for me.

that's something I wanted to ask to course the way it would be would make all the air just hit the eggs underneath but wouldn't u want it to go to the sides to hit the heating element and spread the heat and air.

When I put this one in for her, I flipped it upside down so it sucked from the center and blew out the sides over the heater elements. I'm pretty sure it was a 44mm fan and the hole pattern was exactly the same in the fan. There were no modifications necessary for it to work.
