Friday was fine. She tried to walk about 2 minutes after popping out of the shell and was out and about the next day. Joy appeared to be o.k. but, but, but… This pic is of her and her brother who was only 2 weeks older than her: She only lived 5 months. But she LIVED. She was everyone's baby, so she was spoiled rotten and had a wonderful life. Even the other chickens spoiled her lol My one hen used to call her to come eat whatever tasty treats she found She was about a month older than Joy, but she "adopted" her.

Thank you for this perspective. My Princess Pumpkin is in the same boat. Happy, alive, but so much smaller. She's 4 weeks older and the same size as my Halloween hatchers.

Here she is next to her hatch mates. She has her own space though. Eats, drinks, poops, is merry.

I am about to do some stuff I cant do with the tablet, I have pups due next week, I need to dig out the whelp box, and get the stuff ready for whelp, like rewashing towels and all that good stuffs! AND CH disappeared again without saying if he fixed his brooder or not..... if I forget to ask him about it, can you ask him if I dont? thanks!
