@karenerwin my barnyard mixes go for two dollars as day olds. My purebred chicks go for 3 and silkies are 5. Straight run

Is that on CL? I'm trying to sell my silkies for 4 and not getting many responses. I was thinking about setting up flyers in the feed stores?

It may be too early for most people to be thinking of chicks. Also being more of a decorative breed, quality makes a difference.

As much as the feed stores charge, I wouldn't drop the price. Though the feed stores are more of an impulse buy, so will sell faster.

How many times have we all gone into a feed store for a bag of feed, and cone out with an extra dozen chicks?

Uhhhh.............................never?

Ugh! I knew someone would deny it!

I have a question.if anyone could answer it.okay the thremometer/hygrometer that ms SALLY sent me already calibrated reads 99.5degrees setting on top the bantam breed eggs.and the probe one I had.I calibrated reads 37.9,CELSIUS witch is 100.22 Fahrenheit in between big blue eggs.does that sound right.they are on opposite sides of the incubator.

I was wondering how is your water project has been going? @ChickenCanoe

Went for a morning walk, and a little snowshoeing later. Man is it beautiful here! Made it to all the coops to get everyone water, just have the rabbits to get to yet.

I might complain about the snow, but the road is passable, my driveway is passable, I made snowshoe tracks to all the animals, everything is beautiful!
Ray its lovely!! Funny this summer the kids wanted to make snow shoes as a craft and I said no, because I dont have the right saplings and stuff on our property, now I wish we would have made some! they would have a great time with them!!!

they are both within the temperature range let it go, or you can switch them to the same spots and see what they read. but again, your within a good range I would leave them
