Just poppin' into say hi, too. Probably skipped 800 posts or so, hope everyone that was near the storm stayed safe and warm. Just stuck 16 eggs in the incubator today, pulled 4 out of the fridge so we'll see if they do anything.

Thx! :highfive:
Oh I kno

Shes SO Purty!

I got a soft spot for White Pullets:oops:

Well im hoping the ones in the incubator now will come out looking like the one in my profile , shes pretty shes more frizzled now , those would be the ones i would trade u , im hoping they come out as pretty as snowball

Glad ya did.  Hi!
Go fishing again?
yup...interesting day. Meet up with some friends. My best friend actually. Went to the lake he lives on. Against my better judgement. I hooked several large fish. But they kept taking my line into the brush. Frustrating.....lost a ton of tackle.
But was still fun. But alas...I'm fish less today. One more trip tomorrow then I'm taking a few days off to work around the home.
400
my best friend Bob...drinking a few barley pops

I took some young hatchery buff orp Pullets from a friend that had too many and was surprised at how small they were. Full grown my heritage hens are twice to triple the size of the hatchery birds.
You know I grabbed my tape measure just to see how tall 2.5' is!!! That's not chicken size... that's turkey tall!!!

I have HQ BR's, but at the rate they're growing, I believe they'll be bigger than their parents... but these will probably the one and only HQ birds I'll ever own. If I get my HRIR in the spring, I'll put the roo(s) over the BR hens and hatch out some BSL's. I should be able to move those fairly quickly.

My Seramas are sposed to be frizzly, i think

The one as your Avy is SO Purty! :love

They are probably what they call frizzle smooth, thats one jar jar binks is the mother of the baby in my avy , they will carry the frizzle gene even though they are smooth their offsprings have a chance to be frizzled , just dont ever mix a frizzled frizzled their offsprings feathers would be so brittle they couldnt keep feathers ( so i have been told)

@Sally Sunshine I took the foot pad and straw splint off the chick. He? immediately it was obvious that it is not straightening he tucked right up and curled his toes. I tried just putting him back like that and a couple pecked him an a third grabbed the leg and towed him by it. I put the "shoe" back on and paper taped over the leg to protect it from the vicious Chickies. I don't know what else to do.
I hope you have had a good day.

He's by far the biggest chicken we have. He's definitely a monster. I'll try to get a pic of him next to something that will show his height. I ought to catch him and put him on the scales for a hard weight too.
