@Sally Sunshine

Yes they are short haired over here. Some folk feed them in their gardens and think they are all fluffy and sweet. Urban foxes are becoming a problem too in the towns and cities, been a few reports of them going into people's houses and attacking dogs and cats and even babies in cots :eek:
IMO they are out of control and have no natural predator here. Then there are the people who rehabilitate injured ones and release them back, just madness to me!! You can tell the town foxes that have been released back out into the country side as they dint know how to look after themselves here. No bins for them to look through and they don't know how to hunt, it's a very sad sight really as they are in poor health. They Should just put them down rather than releasing them to die a slow long painful death.

Well maybe that's why I haven't had any problems. I don't run lights in coops and the brooders are open to the world. I run them in the buildings but never a problem. Definitely something to keep in mind and I'll for sure watch them around the chickens. Thanks for the heads up @LocalYokel.

I think you're good Brother :highfive:

Mainly seen problems with folks using enclosed outdoor brooders , particularly with subpar ventilation

Think I saw a video where someone was using a converted long dresser, and had problems

The King is smarter than that!
