@Sally Sunshine or anyone:

OK, so shipped eggs arrived. Disaster (not packaged well - I'll know what to request next time). Many eggs broken, most intact ones coated with dried egg goop. Several dirty. Moving on, I need assistance in how to handle these eggs.

Given the coating of egg, I really need to clean these. Other than water hotter than they are, laced with bleach, other suggestions? (Haven't even candled yet...)

I know I read it somewhere, but can't find it right now, and I need to deal with this and get to work...

Me too...can't play 'em anymore...can't find needles.

I'm thinking about buying one of those inexpensive ones that can copy them to CD. I've got some real good stuff. Even some Bootleg Jeff Beck.
My daughter raids my cassettes once in a while but I used to be a major music buff....I've even got around 500 CDs and I haven't bought anything in years.

I got a small Keychain light

I have gotten to where now when I pick them up halfway between and at lockdown
I know which ones will hatch without candling
You can feel how much heavier they are

Rooster just flew over the chicken yard fence; no big problem with 20" of snow on the ground. The big dummy could've just walked through the gate.
