Well, one of the two Call ducks just died in the shell. This is how the other one is looking. It doesn't look anywhere close to ready to me yet, and I'm afraid it's not going to make it either.![]()
So sorry!

Only one of them. Should I take the other out?Have you removed one or both vent plugs?

Thanks. I just really hope that this one makes it. The other one looked like it was black and yellow. It appeared to be really pretty from what I could see.
I'd give it an hour or two after removal of the 1st one, to give the humidity a chance to drop. If that doesn't do the job, I'd remove the 2nd plug & wait a similar time. If that doesn't get the humidity back where it belongs, try putting a container of uncooked rice in the 'bator; it'll lower the humidity. If all that doesn't do the job, get hold of Sally, she'll know the answer; probably has an article about it. Good luckOnly one of them. Should I take the other out?
Sleep tight@HeatherMarieR I'm so sorry! It's always terrible when you have an egg not make it.
I'm off to bed everyone, I just set up some feed to ferment and i hope to have some eggs tomorrow.
