Well every year I say I'm not going to spend as much on the garden....well I just put my tomato seed order in.

$50 just in tomato seeds....I'm a sucker for trying new varieties....last year I had 48 plants total. That's probably a bit overkill for two people.

I love growing tomatoes though.

Pepper seeds are next.....

Now I got to get the rest of the garden seeded ordered. I use different catalogs for each varieties.

Phil do you graft your tomato plants with a better root stock. Advantage is stronger root growth. I'm in the same boat. I wasn't going to do the order thing this year but, I did. I still need to get my rootstock seeds. I did not order as many though. Those nice seed catalogs do draw me in though

Haha...yes and set your alarm for 2am and check them again. Might be something growing by then

Are they brown or white eggs. Trader Joes here only has white but Ron says the are a mixed bird and some might lay brown eggs.

I have officially set my 2 dozen grocery store eggs at 1/29/2016 8:45pm pst

I'm getting frustrated, my friends and family are all getting almost an egg a day from all there chickens. And out of 10 hens I am getting 2 maybe 3 a day. They have heat, light, 1 cup of scratch scattered in the run every day and even wormed thinking that would help and still nothing. Some of the hens were even gotten at the same time as my friend and hers lay like crazy and nothing from mine.

do you have supplemental lightin?

Are they brown or white eggs. Trader Joes here only has white but Ron says the are a mixed bird and some might lay brown eggs.

1 dozen trader Joe white fertile and 1 dozen whole foods brown vital farms pasture raised backyard eggs (don't say fertile)

I was thinking about setting a few TJ eggs for the Easter HAL. Can't remember if our store has brown or white eggs, but they do sell fertile ones.
