INCUBATING w/FRIENDS! w/Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs No problem!

I'd appreciate you folks weighing in with your opinion on an issue I have right now. My first incubation of the year is just finishing day 23, and I just removed a chick from its shell as it was not progressing at all. Its sac is fully absorbed and it looks perfectly normal, but of course its not fully standing and is still a bit messy. So I don't want to put it out into my brooder yet, but I'd plan to set fresh eggs in an hour. So I'm thinking to just leave the little chick in with the new eggs for another 24 hours till he's a bit more acclimated to life outside an egg shell. Good idea, or bad idea. I really don't have another alternative other than to keep him in a box at 70F.
Don't know if I'd leave him in the same bator as a fresh batch of eggs. Still lots of possibility for transfer or bugs, germs, other undesirables from one to the other. I have use a clear tupper ware tub or other clear container in cases like these and put them into the brooder with the rest. Everyone can look but not touch in the brooder that way and the late arrivals/ slow progress chicks have the time they need to get their feet under them before being run over by the rest of the crowd. Give them their own food, water and vits in the tub if needed, but keep them separate until they fluff up. :frow

It was meant as a compliment and encouragement Whites. I know you have no issue contributing

Just wanted all the lurkers to know their input is appreciated as well, newbie or experienced, we all have something to share

Taken as intended...I just like to rattle cages & keep whatever's in the pot from sticking  :gig

You are acutely an egg turner, aren't you? :lau

Unless, of course the TJ near you does not have fertile eggs!  I made my very first pilgrimage to the TJ in my state, specifically to check out the egg status.  What a disappointment!  But, I was impressed with the store, not so impressed with the yuppiness of it.  There are a couple of health food stores near me that sell fertile eggs, one even has duck eggs by the 6 pack.  I may buy some, just for grins and giggles!

Is there certain brand that you know of to be fertile so I can look around here. And what breed do they usually turn out to be

Me?
Not at all. I let the turner take care of that little detail 'til lockdown, expert that I am after a single hatch !

NT, here is a pic of my suggestion, in the bator in the pic, but similar idea in the brooder

Thanks, good suggestion. Unfortunately, my brooder is out in my unheated greenhouse which went down to 23F last night, so I think I'm just going to put it in a bowl in the bator with the eggs. I've already cleaned the bator from the last hatch, and this guy has barely been out of it since he was born, so I'm assessing the risk as low of him transferring something into the new setting.
