how did the show go?

My Muscovy eggs go into lockdown today. I was thinking that they were supposed to go in tomorrow, but I was a day off. I've never had any luck with them before, but hopefully this time will be different.

Lol, okay! The one that was stuck a few days ago hatched, but died two days later.

Two of the three that pipped on their own are zipping as I type.
one of the three that pipped on it's own , pipped just below the air cell, so I wasn't too worried, but then I realized that it's actually upside down.

The other three are still alive, but I think I'm gonna give them another 24 hours because I think there are still too many veins. So that leaves five... one of the five is dead, not sure about the other four.

I am keeping track of this hatch so you know lol

Good morning, gotro! I don't know how many people are aware that the pics can be zoomed in quite easily if they're using a computer by simply right clicking and choosing Open in a new tab or new window. This opens a larger image than this site's picture viewer, and you can left click on different parts of the pic(s) to zoom in.

From what I can see, most of the air cells look like they're okay... but perhaps a little on the small size. I had a batch that looked similar, and ran between 25%-30% for a couple of days (days 14 - 16), then raised it to 30%-35% for days 17 and 18. When I candled on day 18, they looked perfect. Just a suggestion to be taken with a cup of salt... err... grain of salt.

Thank you so much! It's at 30% now, it's day 15... So you suggest running it there and a bit less until tomorrow, re candle and eeek it up a smidge before lockdown? What do you like to raise yours to, looking like these, at lockdown? Thanks again for your grains
